So, I'm a little behind.... dance, Fun Days, St. Louis...

She loves to fish. The only one this day catching anything at all. Must have been that new pole:)
Wearing the biggest boots in the house - Brady's.
My little nerd.
Waiting for the dance recital to begin.

On the ferris wheel at NL Fun Days!

First funnel cake - success!

Going up the elevator cocoon to the top of the Arch! She actually loved it, but really didn't want her pic taken.

Jon and I.

City Garden in St. Louis. This was sooo much fun for Kennedy!
Jumping on the musical chimes.
Kennedy LOVES turtles. Here she is at the zoo.
"Mom! That's a nanaconda!"

Hippo giving Kennedy a kiss. Gross!

Sitting w/ her new bunny, Sally, at the Cardinal's game:)

This is Peter Piper. The turtle at the IC Children's Museum. Kennedy actually took this picture! Isn't it perfect!

Easter. Soccer. Dance!

We heard something on the deck one night, and are fairly certain it was the Easter Bunny. By the time we got to the door, he was gone! Just like that! But, believe it or not, there was a surprise left:) A new fishing pole, tackle box and life jacket! Isn't the expression on her face just priceless?

This is Chip. He belongs to the Franklin's. Well, he did belong to them. Kennedy has now adopted him. She carried him around just like this for 3 days - poor pup. Needless to say, he went home with the Franklin's.

We had lunch at Little Amana. Home of Wasserbahn, Kennedy's favorite water park. We got to the hotel/restaurant and she looked at Jon and I inquisitively and said, "Is this the water park?" She just remembered:)

Pretending to sleep on a little seat at the hotel.

Soccer has begun! The first day was rainy and cold, so we had to pile on layers. No soccer shoes yet, but they will be here by next practice! She had so much fun, but got a little tired and had to cut it short.

Here is a sneak peek at her first dance recital costume! Stay tuned!

That Bunny is almost here!

North Liberty does an indoor Easter "egg" hunt - It is mostly candy strewn across the gym floor. This year, they did actually have a few sporadic plastic eggs out there as well. There was ONE golden egg. It had nothing special in it, just a starburst or something, but Kennedy wanted that one. She didn't care about the candy, just that darned golden egg, clear over in the middle of the gym. I bet you can see where this is going. Yeah, so whoever thought putting ONE golden egg out there with all sorts of 5 and unders was just a genius. Not really. When the whistle was blown, poof, they were off. ALL to the ONE golden egg. A little boy got the egg. Kennedy cried. That was the end of the candy hunt. I did scoop a few pieces of candy in her basket, just so she didn't go home empty handed, but she didn't want any of it. Now, I hope that Easter Bunny remembers to bring her a golden egg:)

First batch of candy from Amy's mom - and she ate it ALL. Then after I told her no more candy, she asked why. I told her it would make her crazy. When she was trying to sleep tonight, she started shaking her legs really fast and said, "Mom! I have loco legs! From that candy - it is making my legs crazy!" Now, those of you that recognize this - it is from Fresh Beat Band and Twist had loco legs that didn't stop shaking... Anyway, then K started to cry and asked how she was ever going to get all of the candy out of her tummy - it was just making her too crazy, she thought! I told her, well, maybe next time you should only have once piece and SAVE the rest for another day - she HONESTLY thought this was the best idea ever. We'll see if she remembers the one piece thing...

Hoppin' Scotch and Jeeps:)

We finally have had a chance to get outside - such beautiful weather! Kennedy found a stub of chalk and insisted on a game of hop scotch. I had no clue that she even knew how to play - she sure surprised me - she went over and grabbed a stone, then tossed it on a number. Then proceeded to one foot it all over the place, and on the way back, she grabbed the stone!

Kennedy has finally won over Layla - after many years of chasing her around, Layla has finally given in and let her lay with her on Saturday night. Kennedy was in Heaven.

Kennedy had another "camp"over on Friday; it was nice b/c the girls are old enough to play by themselves! Addie has a sign on her room that says 'no boys allowed', so the girls assumed that Kennedy had the same rule. They kept opening the door and shouting "NO BOYS ALLOWED!"

Here they are driving the Jeep. They didn't leave Emmy out at all - she climbed right on K's lap and let them drive her all over the yard!
