But it was HOT. Sweaty Hot. Just ask Daddy. And Kennedy decided it was so much fun in the hotel that she didn't need sleep. That first night was ROUGH. We finally had to turn the tv off at 10pm. I don't think she went to sleep until 11 though. So, yes, we endured an hour of "night daddy" and "night mommy" and "where papa?" "rach" (RAKE as pronounced by Miss K). Finally though, she did fall asleep. And then we hadto wake her up at 8 to go to the zoo. It was just so hot, K just sat back in her stroller. We didn't
take that many pics at the zoo, it was kind of frustrating at first, we didn't see any animals. And the the apes weren't out, so that was kind of a bummer. We did get out of the stroller in the reptile house and let me tell you, this girl has NO fear. She was trying to grab the snakes as they zipped in front of the glass, same with the turtles. I had to include a pic of the crocodile (or alligator - I can't remember the difference) b/c it was being all peaceful until Kennedy went "ROOOAAR!" to it, then it started to walk toward us and a little girl next to us started to cry. Kennedy told her, "it's ok!" Too cute!
But this only lasted about 2 innings. Then we had to walk the stadium in the stroller b/c she just couldn't get settled back - I think she wanted to go back to sleep, the game started at 7:15, and without a nap, she was probably ready to be done for the night. But here, you see, she got her 2nd wind. She clapped and cheered when everyone else did. She even looked to the sky for the fireworks:)
Here she is w/ her first stab at nachos. HOT. Papa got the supreme ones, this meant they had cheese, meat, salsa and jalepenos. She may have eaten a small bit of hotness b/c she cried and cried after eating her 2nd chip. But, like the trooper she is, she must have forgot how hot that one was, b/c she asked for 'more'.
Here she is at the end of the night. Sweet thing - she made it all the way to the 8th inning. I think it was after 10pm by then. Thank goodness for dip-n-dots.
Up top on one of the many landings.
Climbing (actually, running as fast as her little legs would go) to the tippy top of the largest curly slide she could find. And see that little, teensy, weensy "castle" at the top? Yeah. Hard to keep her still long enough to fit in that and get her on your lap, but she loved the slide, so we did it...
Wee! K and Grandma Julie loved the slide:)
This was a grill that someone made! They made it into a tractor and K loved it. She was driving. Pretty sure.

Looks like it. But, no. Joel walked Carole down the aisle to be seated. Then it was K's turn. What did she do? Sat on the floor and dumped the petals on the ground. And cried. And cried. So I picked her up and we walked down and tossed out the petals. Then, AFTER the wedding was finished, she decided to walk down the aisle and pick up the petals and put them in the basket. Go figure:)
Then she ran down the aisle and out the door. Woo Hoo! (she says that now by the way)
