The Pink Princess...

We came home from Lorie's on the Friday before Halloween with these glasses and a bag full of suckers. She was soooo excited!Again, with the glasses after a morning of tailgating on Saturday...

Getting ready for the NL Rec Center Halloween Party! She found this witch hat and stomped around the house saying, "I am the MEAN witch!"

Trying to shake the witch's hand.
Giving the creepy tree a kiss. This was the room after the most scary DARK maze I have ever been on. It was pitch black...

Dancing with the pumpkin man. Picking a pumpkin for a prize.

This was seriously her favorite part of the party - watching the clown make balloon puppies! The crazy fun mirror. She stepped behind it, just to check out how it worked. I think she thought there was someone back there making the funny faces...
Who could resist a little after party park action - down the slide!

Posing with the pumpkins...Kennedy's is the one on the skeleton body. she colored it up...then asked me to put a face on it.
She was soooo concerned about the fire inside. She wanted to blow it out!
Getting ready to trick or treat. She didn't like her tiara. She kept saying it was "too big". I ended up carrying it...

The creepy scary bowl with a hand that moved when the kiddos tried to grab candy. They loved it!
Running w/ Maya. After each house she would exclaim, "Mom! I want to go to the next house!"

Getting a sticker from the NLPD
End of night hug w/ Maya!

Halloween is in the air...

Well, last weekend when we visited the apple orchard, Kennedy was very upset because she didn't get to pick any apples from the trees. So, we went back, this time with Daddy, and it was a blast:) With the help of Daddy's "ladder" (it was imaginary:)) Kennedy picked the perfect Honey Golden's from the tippy top of the trees!
She was very proud of her picks and insisted on carrying the bucket back to the barn.
After we got home from the orchard, it was time to get ready for the Rebal Halloween Party. Kennedy has hand selected each piece for her costume this year, which has been much fun:) A pink princess dress, a princess tiara and green Tinkerbell shoes! Oh, and a pink necklace and gold bracelet...
The problem: the orchard wore her out and with no nap, she fell asleep in the car for the short 15 min ride from our house to the Rebal's... Not to worry, she sprang into action once she saw the bouncy obstacle course and all of her friends:)

Hard to believe she made it down the slide WITH the ice cream cone still being eaten:)
Second helping of fresh made ice cream - this time in a bowl and without the princess dress:)
Picking "flowers" with her friend Della.
This is actually her pouting and walking away from me, but it was a cute shot:)
Here is a group shot of all the kiddos in costume!
Last picture, waiting patiently for the pinata to break so she can load up on more candy:) Thanks Dean and Deb for a great party once again!

Football & Orchards!

We have been very busy this weekend:) First, the homecoming parade and Pagliai's Pizza for dinner on Friday. Then the tailgate for IA vs. Penn State on Saturday! Quite the spread, I must say. Then, we met friends at Wilson's Apple Orchard. Oh - so much fun:)
Those drums were too loud at the parade!
Kennedy's favorite thing is to sit on our shoulders. Double tents for this tailgate!

Eatin "slimey" aka salami... The spread.
Ta da! It was pretty chilly out, but she wouldn't wear a coat. Finally I got her to put this hat on...

I came back from the portojohnny to find this: Kennedy chilling watching Franklin. Doesn't get any better than that:)
Visiting Wilson's Apple Orchard w/ Della, Asher, Ian, Cael and Darci and Lisa!

Kissing the pumpkin... Loving the tractor ride!

Let's Go HAWKS!!!

Saturday was the second home football game of the season. We did go to the first one too, but my camera was not cooperating, so I didn't get any good pix. Plus, it was actually kind of cold that day. The Iowa/Iowa State tailgate was awesome! Kennedy had an amazing time - she was so excited to play with her old friend Savannah, she talked about her all morning. We can't wait until the next home game - Kennedy gets to go to the game too! Oh, the joys:)
Eating Grandma Julie & Rachael's cake ball:) She was in heaven!
