"huggggggg!"

Kennedy and Papa Brian went fishing at Grandma Fae's house! For the 3 day weekend we went to Keosauqua so Daddy and Papa could fish (oh, and there was that 30 year reunion to prepare for!). We had sooo much fun! Kennedy was soooo excited to help Papa put the worms on the hooks. First cast brought back a fish! Kennedy was not afraid at all to reach out and touch!

And I am sooo not joking, but she is screaming, "hugggg!" in this picture. She just wanted to hug the fishies!

beauty and the teeth...

So. Funny story. We were peacefully and happily playing out in the backyard - meeting our new neighbor - 2 week old Jacob (and such a little cutie), when I look back into the middle of the yard, only to see Kennedy sitting in the grass w/ her foot in the air. By the way, she was yelling, "YUCK!" Yep. You guessed it. Stepped in dog poop. I actually can't believe this is the first time it happened, but gross none the less...so we RUSHED in to the bathtub. After quite a bit of hefty scrubbing, we came out smelling fresh and clean. After the bath we had to play w/ our vanity and "brush tee, I brush tee!" which is what we have to do every time we go in the bathroom. FUN!
This is the COOLEST vanity ever - if you can find one, I say GET IT! K loves it, as you can see:) It has this little fake shower head w/ a cord attached to the base unit. She seriously thinks it is a phone. She constantly picks up the shower head and tries her hardest to reach it to her ear and says, "Hallo." and then "Bye."

Doesn't this look just say-
'Excuse me, Mom. Did you need something? I am actually on the phone!'

May 2009 Swimsuit Model.

Where's my POOL??!!! Today we got K a cutie petutie swimsuit from Target. We think it is ADORABLE, a teensy too big, but if I can't find a smaller size, it will do...it does hide the "food baby" belly. We also got some pink flip flops w/ the heel strap. They are hard to keep on, so we weren't able to get a pic w/ the flips AND the suit. That would just too much for one little peanut!

"helping" mommy rake. "helping".

This is Kennedy's idea of "helping" me rake the grass. New concept - I rake into piles and Kennedy picks up the piles and throws the grass into the air! Sounds delightful, doesn't it? Sure got a few little squeals out of the babe!

Oh, and that rake thing, it's for STANDING on. You knew that though.

Looking a little mischevious, don't you think? This was after she pushed her baby in her stroller directly into the grass piles. When the stroller got stuck, she tipped the baby over into the grass pile and proceeded to get upset b/c the baby had grass matted into her "beautiful" blond locks...she kept saying "yuck" as she tried to clean it up.

"Cheese!" This is our best shot for our homemade mother's day photo frames that we made on Saturday night. After 4 hours of being drug around from place to place and K screaming at each stop, we put on our new nightgown (which she loved btw...) and said cheese ONE time only. This was it. This was the picture that was saved. There were no other options. But it pretty much sums up K; her lopsided crazy hair and her silly grin full of teeth. That's the one we love.

We hope all of you Mother's out there had a delish day yesterday.
Happy Belated Mother's Day!

Dress up and....Tractors.

Kennedy loved playing on Papa Brian's lawn mower. She was driving. And she booted Elias out of the driver seat. That's my girl! Then the girls got into the dress up attire. They even had the heels out - and were wearing them. Now, Addie is used to this, she wears them pretty much daily I assume, but this was K's first experience. I'd say it was a hit!

party weekend. yes, please.

Our little girl is getting so big! Just yesterday, we noticed her saying "yes, please" every time she said yes. Isn't that just sooo sweet? And she is really into hugs and kisses. And when she yanks your hair out so hard that you wince, she gently pats your arm and says, "I sorry." And proceeds to the next hair. And I LOVE her for it:)

This weekend was the first in a while when we didn't have much going on. So, we just hung around at home - super fun! And totally recommended:) Saturday, K and I played with play-doh for the first time. It says 2+ and maybe for a reason. She just wanted to eat it. Oh, well. At least I got the little tubs and we can save the unopened ones for a while...

And then, while I went and ran some errands in the afternoon, Daddy was hanging out with Kennedy. They heard the Peppy's ice cream truck coming up the road, so off they ran! A bomb pop for K and a oreo ice cream cookie for Daddy. What happened? K tried to eat the stick on the popsicle and threw it on the ground after seeing the ice cream cookie. Daddy gladly shared half with her (on the deck - good job! and WITH camera! Bonus!). I don't think there is a question as to whether she liked it, do you?
Nice job, Daddy - use a bowl!
mmmmmmnnnn.

Cheese!
Sunday morning, the coloring started early in our house. K whipped out her blue green crayon and began working on a coloring book she received for Easter. You see what happens with these lovely things they call "washable" crayons. They don't mention just how water soluable they really are. Add a little bit of saliva and this is what you get. I'd say we have a masterpiece. But you can be the judge....

Read on. Read on.

So, I didn't know how to post all of the pix I have taken lately, so instead of adding all to one post, I did it in sections. So, Read on. Read on. And Enjoy!!!!!
